Join us on an exciting Super Jeep tour to Þórsmörk Nature Reserve. Þórsmörk has been one of Icelanders favorite destination for a long time. You need a 4x4 jeep and a experienced driver to get there because there are many rivers to cross. The place is in the heart of south Iceland surrounded by three beautiful glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Tindfjallajökull. The landscape is so stunning that some scenes from the series Game of Thrones were taken in this area. n 2010 there was a huge eruption in the glacier Eyjafjallajökull which marked the surrounding landscape. All air traffic in Europe was shut down for some days because of this eruption. You will witness the great power of nature when we visit Gígjökull which used to be a big icefall. In the valley of Þórsmörk, you will find a beautiful birch forrest and we will take a small hike in the forest and on our way back we will look at some beautiful canyons and waterfalls. Our experienced guides will ensure you will experience this unique nature in a safe and good way. Remember to take warm clothes for hiking. The stops included on this tour includes: - Pick up at desired location within Reykjavik - Þórsmörk Valley - Volcano Huts in Húsadalur - Drop off at desired location within Reykjavik Optional: - Trial from Langidalur valley to Húsadalur valley Note: Each tour is customized to our guests needs and if you don't wish to hike, then an alternative option is walk a gorgeous trail from Langidalur valley over to Húsadalur valley. You follow a trail deep down into the magical valley. You then meet your guide at the Volcano Huts, located in Húsadalur. From this location, which boasts beautiful views, you will enjoy a lovely meal, included in the price.
